I submitted this design for a chair to the AIAS Chair Affair - they were not impressed. But now I have submitted it to ReadyMade magazine - stay tuned.
At the end of June to Otis to be precise, and I plan on working on a portrait idea while I'm there. I was originally going to work in white prismacolor pencil on colored paper, then I switched to oil pastels but they are way too imprecise - so I'm going to use prismacolor pencils - stay tuned for the result. My main model hasn't returned my texts so he may be out. Above is a study I did, called Not A Eunich-Corn, which made me switch to colored pencils (even though it white on natural cardboard). I plan on using the book Painting Light with Colored Pencils...
The final Jury for Studio II sucked - I choked and they all hated the ideas that we were forced to implement by our teachers - the whole review I wanted to be like "yeah, i know! It sucks, right?"
If I am asked to display my work in the studio at school I plan to politely decline...
Over the summer I have some projects and I'm going to be living at Otis for July as a resident assistant.
